The Design Trust and Crafty Fox Market are very excited to let you know that we have
joined forces to provide small creative businesses with extra business training this
Autumn. Perfect if you need a little marketing boost to make the most of Christmas!

• All 4 sessions are online so you can join us from your own computer at home or
in your studio.
• All sessions are 30-45min only, during Tuesday lunch time (1pm) so you can ask
questions if you join us live.
• All sessions will be recorded, so if you can’t make it or want to listen in again,
then no problem at all! We will send the link afterwards.
• And ... they are all free but only for The Design Trust Business Club members
and Crafty Fox Shopping With Soul members.

Who is speaking?
• Patricia van den Akker is the Director of The Design Trust, an online business school for designers and makers. Over the last 20 years she has worked with 1,000s of creatives like you. The Design Trust provide practical, realistic and action-orientated business training for new and established creative product businesses including designer makers, stationery businesses, illustrators etc.
• Sinead Koehler is the founder of Crafty Fox Market, which is known for its quirky one-day markets across London, which are very popular with punters, the press and buyers alike.

These sessions are a great opportunity for creatives to learn from two practical experts
who will share their experience and know-how about selling and marketing.

How does this online training work?
During these video sessions you will be able to see both Sinead and Patricia on your
computer screen (similar to Skype). They will discuss a specific topic each time and will
share loads of their practical tips too. 
We are using a video conference system called Zoom and you will be able to register in
advance for the sessions and join us live. During the session you can ask questions via a
text box and Patricia and Sinead will try to answer as many questions as they can. If you
are unable to make it live then still register so that we can send you info about the
recordings afterwards.

Which sessions can I join?
This autumn we are organising 4 sessions:

Session 1: Fundamentals of selling online on Tuesday 11 September at 1pm (UK time)
We will talk about ‘People only buy from people they know, like & trust’ and how you can
build your profile, credibility & trust online, on your own website or for your web shop.
Have you got the basics right for your website?

Session 2: Driving traffic to your site on Tuesday 9 October at 1pm (UK time)
We will talk about the 4 main ways to get more visitors to your website: SEO/Keywords,
email marketing, social media and more traditional marketing. And are you keeping
track of your numbers and stats (so that you know it’s working)?

Session 3: How online marketing & selling work together with events on Tuesday 6 November at 1pm (UK time)
We will share our top tips to get visitors to your stand and website, and how to turn
interest into actual sales. Don’t just hope that people will turn up (at events or your site)
.... You need to work for it! We will share with you what you can do before, during and
after events, and how you can use your web shop if people can’t attend your event.

Session 4: Last-minute Christmas marketing and how to keep your head cool on
Tuesday 11 December at 1pm
(UK time)
We will share with you what you can do in these vital two weeks before Christmas! Our
secret last-minute marketing and social media tips to get Xmas sales, but also how to
minimise stress and mistakes ...
