Percy Boynton Cards
I started Percy Boynton Cards in 2016 in order to use my interest in design and photography to create beautiful and interesting greetings cards while making a positive contribution to the Refugee Council. I give 50% of any profits made to the British Refugee Council and to date have donated £2500 to the charity and hope to raise a lot more.
The images used on the cards come from either paintings, collages or lithographs that I have created or photographs (often of shadows or patterns) that I have taken. My son Jack Holden, an artist based in Berlin has allowed me to use some of his original art works on eight of the designs.
The cards, apart from three Christmas designs, are blank inside and suitable for all occasions. The greetings cards measure 6x6 inches and most images are set off by a small white border.
I have the cards stocked in a number of independent bookshops and they were sold in the main bookshop tent at the Hay Literary Festival in both 2017 and 2018 and I hope to have them there in 2019.
I do offer wholesale rates (please email for details) and also can provide custom designs by adding printed words inside for special occasions. Currently I have over 50 designs though plan to increase the range not only to provide greater choice for customers but to continue to raise significant amounts of money for a worthwhile charity.
