We’re Arthur and Sarah, a pair of designer-makers/design-obsessives. And having earned our crusts within the world of museum gift shops, we started Foundland.
Crafted with love from our London home-studio, our first collection of homewares and textile accessories is a contemporary ode to Modernist design. There’s also a dash of Japanese influence thrown in for good measure, and exclusive collaborations with other independent designers. Tote bags with hardware detailing, cushions with bold prints, tactile ceramics wood-fired in the UK and serving boards we’ve carved from reclaimed oak.
We don’t value the throwaway- we go to great lengths to ensure that all of our goodies are ethically and sustainably made, of the high quality you’d expect and made to last.
From cutting leather on our kitchen table to finishing wood, when you buy from us you’re buying something made with due care and attention. You’ll find Arthur hunched over our sewing machine in the evening, making up our latest pieces. And Sarah? She’ll be outside chopping the wood.
